Class Placement
New students, please select class based on age as of the first day of class. Returning students, register for the same level you took in Fall 2023 unless indicated otherwise by Miss Breanna. Age | Available Class(es)
3 to 5 years | Frozen/Moana/Encanto classes or Pre/Kinder Ballet & Tap 6 years | Frozen/Moana/Encanto classes, Pre/Kinder Ballet & Tap and “Beg./Int./Adv.” classes 7 years | “Beg./Int./Adv.” classes 8 years | “Beg./Int./Adv.” and “Adv./Jr Elite/Elite” classes 9 + years | “Adv./Jr Elite/Elite” and “Jr Elite/Elite/Senior” classes All dancers must be toilet trained, comfortable separating from parent/guardian and able to follow two-step directions. Toddler, Preschool and School Age Classes Young students practice dance technique through creative movement activities and improvisation to develop confidence, social skills and studio etiquette. As students get older, they will develop poise and grace through warm-ups, barre work and choreography in ballet; explore rhythm, beat and pattern through combinations and across the floor in tap; and improve stamina, flexibility and strength with leaps, turns and tricks in jazz. Students learn ballet terminology and technique through warm-ups, barre, across the floor, choreography and improvisation while utilizing dance as an expressive art form. Students develop confidence, coordination, balance, flexibility, stamina and muscle strength. Tap
Students will love this energetic class and explore rhythm, beat and pattern through percussive footwork that exercises the thighs, calves, ankles and arches/balls of the feet. Jazz
Students learn leaps, turns and tricks while improving stamina, flexibility and strength. Warm-ups, across the floor and choreography will be combined with upbeat, age-appropriate music as students explore qualities of performance such as energy, spatial awareness and timing. |
