Class Observation To promote a focused learning environment, family members are not permitted in class. Parents are welcome to wait in our adjacent lobby or drop off and pick up.
Tuition Tuition is based on total number of lessons offered per dance season and, for your convenience, broken into eight equal payments, and all fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable between classes or family members. Because tuition holds your dancers spot in their specific class, tuition is expected in full each month regardless of attendance and make ups/prorations are not given for missed classes. The first tuition payment for Fall 2025/Spring 2026 is automatically deducted at the time of registration. Monthly payments will then be automatically deducted using the card on file (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Amex) on the 21st of each month from September to March. If tuition payment does not go through, it is each family's responsibility to submit payment by the 25th. Tuition paid after the 25th will be assessed a $10 late fee. If tuition and late fees are not paid by the 1st of the month, the student will forfeit their place in class. Students may re-join class only if space is still available by paying the late tuition, $10 late fee and a $10 re-enrollment fee. Families may opt out of monthly automatic withdrawal by paying full tuition at the time of registration. Upon registering, you must select either "Monthly" or "Entire Year" as your preferred method of payment (returning families, please remember to update this if you'd like to pay by a different method than you did in previous years). Discounts A $5 monthly discount for each class after the first will be given to students taking multiple classes during Fall and Spring. A 5% discount will be given to families paying for both Fall and Spring in full by selecting "Entire Year" as their payment method at the time of registration.
Attendance/Cancellation To ensure progression as a dancer, proper attendance and timeliness is necessary. Students who miss five (5) or more lessons will forfeit their spot in class and ability to participate in the recital with no refunds. If your child will be absent, please email us. If class is cancelled, notification will be sent via email. Since tuition is paid to hold a dancers' spot in their specific class, refunds/make ups will not be issued for weather related closings or dancers who miss class due to illness, vacation, other obligations, etc. Dress Code Girls must wear a solid black leotard with pink tights. Long sleeve leotards are recommended for winter. Boys must wear a fitted solid white top and black fitted athletic bottoms. All hair beyond the chin must be secured in a ponytail or bun. Black fitted dance shorts are optional for all dancers and demi-ballet skirts are optional for dancers in Advanced, Elite and Senior classes ONLY. No skirts/tutus allowed in Pre, Kinder, Beginner or Intermediate levels as they tend to pose a distraction for younger dancers. No jewelry, t shirts, hoodies, jeans, sweatpants or leggings permitted. Proper dance attire allows instructors to make corrections on proper body alignment to prevent injury. Because normal clothing does not allow instructors to confidently make these corrections, dancers not adhering to the dress code will be asked to observe class until they have proper attire. Pink leather ballet shoes (black for boys) for ballet. Black tap shoes for tap. Black slip-on jazz shoes for jazz (tan for Performance Team). Capezio and Blach brands are highly recommended. Due to the poor quality, no Target/"Freestyle" brand please. We have a limited supply of new pink ballet shoes for $15 as well as used ballet, tap and jazz shoes. Please email for availability. For visuals on dance attire, please CLICK HERE. Classroom/Studio Conduct Dancers must use the restroom prior to class. Students should bring their dance shoes and a full water bottle (labeled with their name) in a dance bag. All other items (jackets, street shoes, food, drink, gum or toys) should be left in the lobby or with a parent. Prime Technique Dance Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen items Students, staff and family members must conduct themselves respectfully. Yelling, harassing, bullying, physical violence, etc. is grounds for immediate dismissal with zero refunds. Respect our space: walk, maintain a quiet noise level, clean up after yourself, etc. We are a nut free facility. Dancers should arrive no more than five minutes prior to class and be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class. Students must be accompanied by an adult until they have been invited into the classroom. Dancers left unattended before or after their scheduled class time will be assessed a $15 supervision fee per student for each half hour or fraction of they are left unsupervised. Prime Technique Dance Academy utilizes a coded lock on our front door. Do not to share this code and ensure the door closes fully behind you. This fee includes costume, accessories, tights, one recital t shirt, an additional mandatory dress rehearsal, participation in two recitals (one for Pre Ballet) and the choice to attend a complimentary pajama party post recital (see tentative schedule below). You must notify us by September 15th if you do not wish to participate as performance fees are nonrefundable. Children 3 years of age and younger are free when "lap-sitting". Digital copies of the recital, flowers to present to your dancer and additional recital t shirts will be available for purchase. Mandatory dress rehearsal and the two recitals are tentatively set for the evening of Friday, April 24th 2026 (beginning at ~5:30 pm) and Saturday, April 25th 2026 (morning thru the early evening). Please take these tentative dates into consideration when registering for classes. Official dates/times will be announced in early Fall. Dress rehearsal is mandatory and a closed practice: no parental viewing. Dancers who are unable to attend recital may have two guests view the last five minutes of their final class. Dancers are required to be present for both dress rehearsal and BOTH of their recitals and will only be dismissed after the finale is over. Many dance routines involve formations, travel patterns and partner work which is difficult to do/confusing when peers are missing. Each class is required to have one highly motivated and engaged Room Mom volunteer to help with supervision backstage. Families will be notified which classes need volunteers. Dads/male family members are encouraged to volunteer as ushers and flower sales. Costumes and tickets will not be given to anyone who has an overdue balance, and a balance seven days prior to recital day will result in forfeiture of recital participation.
