Class Observation
To ensure the safety of all students and promote a focused learning environment, family members are not permitted in the classroom. Parents who wish to remain on the premises during class may wait in our lobby and view class through a closed circuit television. Prime Technique Dance Academy will hold an observation day each semester, and two guests per student will be permitted to watch on those days. Tuition A student's enrollment is for the entire school year (September to May). Tuition is based on our 33 week year and, for your convenience, divided into nine (9) equal payments. Tuition is expected every month whether or not a student attends to hold their place in class. Tuition is non refundable. Refunds for registration fees, tuition, recital participation fee or recital tickets will not be given to dancers who discontinue class. All tuition is paid online via card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Amex) through our Parent Portal. The first tuition payment and annual registration fee ($15 per student/$45 max per family) will be automatically deducted at the time of registration. All following tuition will be automatically deducted on the 1st of each month from October to May. Tuition for one-day events, workshops, camps, mini sessions, parties, etc. will be deducted at the time of registration. Tuition is nonrefundable. All tuition will be processed via automatic withdrawal. It is your responsibility to make sure your payment information on file is correct prior to the 1st of each month. If your payment does not go through you will be notified via email, and it is your responsibility to submit your tuition payment by the 5th of the month. Tuition paid after the 5th of each month will be assessed a $10 late fee. If tuition and late fees are not paid by the 15th of the month the student will forfeit their place in class. A student who has been dis-enrolled from class may re-register only if space is still available by paying the late tuition, $10 late fee and a $5 re-enrollment fee. If a new month has begun, the late tuition will not count for that month and the tuition for the new month will also be expected. If a student has already been dis-enrolled once due to non-payment by the 15th of the month, they will not be permitted to re-enroll a second time. If you do not wish to participate in automatic withdrawal, you may opt out by choosing “Tri-Pay Plan (Self-Pay)" (1/3 of tuition for the year will be due upon registration, on November 1st and on January 1st and must be submitted by you via Parent Portal) or "Entire Year Plan (Self-Pay)" (full tuition for the year will be due upon registration and must be submitted by you via Parent Portal). Discounts are applied for families choosing Tri-Pay Plan and Entire Year Plan. We're offering the same great tuition rates as previous years, now divided into only nine payments (versus ten payments last year). Tuition is as follows: $8 per session for Creative Movement Stay & Play $15 per session for Dance Technique Intensive $35 per month for 30 minute classes $44 per month for 45 minute classes $53 per month for 60 minute classes $25 per 30 minute private lesson (OR purchase a “private lesson package“ and pay in full to save: 1 hour total for $45, 2 hours total for $80, 3 hours total for $105, 4 hours total for $120 — add $25 for each additional hour after 4 hours) New students are welcome to trial class for $15. After a trial class, if a student wishes to continue, the remaining first month tuition and registration fee must be paid prior to the second class. The $15 drop in fee will be applied to the first month's tuition when students enroll in class during the same month that they attended their trial class. Discounts A $5 discount per month will be given for families enrolling in two classes. A $10 discount per month will be given for families enrolling in three classes. A $15 discount per month will be given for families enrolling in four or more classes. Families paying via Tri-Pay Plan will receive a 5% discount. Families paying via Entire Year upon registration will receive a 10% discount. Discounts only apply to monthly tuition for regular weekly classes. Attendance To ensure progression as a dancer, proper attendance and timeliness is necessary. Students who miss five (5) or more lessons in a semester will forfeit their spot in class and their ability to participate in the recital with no refunds given. Students who arrive after class has started should enter quickly and quietly. To prevent injury, students will be asked to sit out and observe if they arrive more than ten (10) minutes after class has begun. If your child will be absent please call the studio and leave a message. If class must be cancelled, families will be notified via email. No refunds or make-ups will be given for missed or cancelled classes. If in-person classes must be cancelled due to covid, dancers will be provided a Zoom link to attend class virtually. Prime Technique Dance Academy will be closed in observance of the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Check our website for specific dates. Students should not arrive more than ten minutes prior to class and should be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class. Students 10 years old and younger must be accompanied by a parent at all times while in the lobby. Prime Technique Dance Academy cannot provide supervision for dancers outside of their scheduled class times. Students left unsupervised will be invited into the classroom for their own safety and assessed a $15 drop-in fee which must be paid before returning to class. Dress Code Girls must wear a solid black leotard and pink ballet tights with hair secured away from the face in a ponytail or bun. Long sleeve leotards are recommended for winter. Boys must wear a fitted solid white top and black fitted athletic bottoms. Dancers not adhering to the dress code will not be permitted to participate. After paying for 4 hours of private lessons, if you wish to add additional hours tuition will only be $25 per hour. Discounts reset every June at the conclusion of our dance season. Recital Participation Each year Prime Technique Dance Academy will conclude with an annual recital. A non refundable performance fee of $70 per student (plus $40 for each additional class a student is enrolled in) will be automatically deducted on December 1st. If you do not wish to participate in the recital you must notify Miss Breanna via email no later than November 15th. This fee includes one costume, all accessories, one pair of tights, access to a practice video with music and one additional mandatory dress rehearsal. Tickets will be available for purchase. Recital participation for students who register after December 1st will be dependent on costume availability. If costumes are available, the performance fee will be automatically deducted at the time of registration with a $5 shipping fee added unless an email is received prior to registration indicating the student will not participate in the recital. All accounts must have a $0 balance seven days prior to the recital with all fees paid in full from September to May (or the month of registration for students who began classes later). Students who do not have a $0 balance will forfeit their right to participate in the recital with no refunds given for tuition, performance fee or tickets. Health and Safety Drop Off Procedure: Drop off will take place in front of the studio. Our lobby is closed to parents/family members. Upon arrival dancers will line up in front of the studio on a designated social distancing sticker. Parents may wait with their dancer or (for dancers 6 years and older) in their vehicle within clear sight of their dancer until a PTDA staff member has checked their dancer in. No early drop offs please. Contactless temperatures will be taken. Any student with a fever of 100.4 or above will not be permitted into the studio. We ask for your cooperation in keeping your dancer home if he/she or any members of your family display signs of illness until all family members have been symptom free without the use of medication for a minimum of 72 hours. Dancers will then be escorted into the lobby, and a "thumbs up" will be given to their parent to signify they may drive away if they choose to. Dancers will place their belongings on a designated square and wait inside the lobby on a designated social distancing sticker while others are checked in. We ask that your student bring minimal items - dance shoes and a full water bottle in a bag labeled with their name and that dancers come fully dressed for class and use the restroom at home prior to arriving. Our water dispenser will not be available for use and the restroom will not be available for changing clothes. Once all students have arrived hand sanitizer will be used (please inform us if you'd prefer your dancer use soap and water instead), and we will head into the classroom as a group. If you arrive after class has begun, please bring your dancer to the south door leading directly into the classroom to be check in. In Class Procedure: Fallll/Spring classes will continue to meet our 7 student limit as they have in previous years (5 for Pre Ballet). Social distancing will be practiced with dancers occupying their own 8x6 box. Curriculum will be modified to eliminate hand holding, barre and prop usage and hands-on corrections from instructors. PTDA staff members will wear masks. Students may wear masks if they choose, but please be aware that any dancer who arrives with a mask will not be permitted to touch or take off their mask once they enter the studio. Dancers and staff will be reminded to cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze, wash hands when necessary and avoid touching the mouth/nose/eyes. Pick Up Procedure: Dancers will collect their belongings, use hand sanitizer (or soap and water) and wait in the classroom to be picked up. Parents will be asked to wait on a social distancing sticker outside the studio at the south door, and children will be brought out. Cleaning/Sanitizing Procedure: In addition to our regular cleaning routine, all high contact surfaces (doorknobs, bathrooms, dance floor etc.) will be sanitized in between every class. Frequent hand washing will be practiced by both staff and students, and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
